Finding things When you Weren't looking For it

Artwork by Fran Horne

Saturday, I took the decision to go to Malvern, a place where I used to live when I was first married. My first marriage was short but was mentally abusive and whilst I love Malvern, there's still a small part of me that fears going there, although I know my ex-husband doesn't live there anymore, as he threatened to kill me over 15 years ago and harassed me for a while after we separated, and his now ex 2nd wife and their sons still live there.

Anyway, I went to Malvern as there's a great health foodshop there that sells gluten-free food, and despite feeling nervous, I survived. And whilst in Malvern, I found that an art exhibition was on and that it was inspiring, as the artist's style could easily be adapted for art journalling. The artist is Fran Horne and her website shows some of the work that was on exhibition http://www.franhorne.co.uk/

Hi Julie,
I'm so pleased that you challenged your anxiety and visited Malvern. Great stuff!
I shall check out your link.
Take very good care.
With respect and kindness, Gary x

"Tales of how we suffer" by Fran, caught my attention; unique books. I also enjoyed the Malvern Gallery's "Cork Noticeboards". I'd like to make one of those.
Thanks Julie :)XX
