We went to Yorkshire last week and one day we went to an aquarium in Scarborough. We took our cameras and took photos of the fish, the seals that they rescued there and two otters... Anyway, I was trying to take some pictures in a particular tank, but the fish were not playing ball and kept swimming away as I tried to get a photo.
But then this made me think. Sometimes we chase that elusive "fish". "Just one more time and it will work out next time," and sometimes it does and that's good, but other times we hold out for something unrealistic and forget about other things happening all round us because we have our attention on only the one thing, whether it's realistic or not.
Sometimes it's the timing that's wrong and the "fish" comes round again.
We just have to keep an eye open for the opportunities, to not close ourselves off too much. It maybe the "fish" that got away that leads to better things or to a special moment later.

Beautiful photos! I hear what you're saying and am debating a situation. Trying to figure out what's good for me. Thanks for this xxx Dixie
Hi jewel,
Great post. When one opportunity appears to have been lost; another, even better situation may just occur.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and these beautiful photos.
With respect, Gary x
Thank you Dixie and Gary for your kind words. The "photo opportunities" of missed fish made me think whilst I was on hols and I had to write this as soon as I was home. I'm unsure as to how/where my life is to go, but I'm trying to keep the opportunities open and keep the positivity going. In peace to you both, Julie x
