Each spring we have pink snow. Sometimes I forget and in high winds I do think it’s snowing, but what it is is blossom, blowing like confetti in the breeze. You see our next door neighbours have a pink cherry blossom tree in their garden, but the main branches are over our patio. Our kitchen window faces the garden and as you walk by pink snow falls and lies on our patio. It looks beautiful but when I hang the washing out, I have to remember to shake it first before putting it in the washing basket, otherwise you find pink blossom in all sorts of places in your clothes.

Hi jewel,
This time last year, I was in Vancouver and blossoms from the Japanese maple trees that line the avenues are a wonder to behold.
I sure relate to the beauty of the 'pink snow'.
Warm wishes your way, Gary:-)
I love your subject, your photos, and the cute cat. Those are some of the loveliest trees. I know just what you mean about those "hiding" blossoms!
Take care. love, Dixie x
