Working through it

I've just got some of my study books for my degree. I've been doing courses through the Open University to get a degree, as I didn't go to uni when I was 18. Had the grades, had the places, but my parents separated and Mum said that she couldn't afford to send me and I had no money so I didn't go. Years later my Dad said that he would have paid, but he believes that he didn't know that I wanted to go despite me filling out forms at the time - probably because he was walking out of my life then, and we weren't his main concern at the time - nothing changes.

Anyway I'm doing a final year course in Art History, which was fine as an idea, but now I see the books my initial thought is "woah", but I'm starting to read a bit of it before the course starts in Feb so it's not so frightening and luckily I don't have an exam to do in it. (I'm keeping the 50% final essay to the back at the moment). Fingers crossed this time next year, I'll have finished and passed the course and be looking forward to a graduation knowing how hard it's been to get there along the way, but proud that I've done it - then it will be "a jewel shining through" BA (Open), don't you mind LOL, ha, ha, ha xx

Thank you, it's going to be hard as there'll be so much reading to do, but at least I don't have to remember it all for a final exam - hooray. Just got to think of something to write my final essay on, but there'll be time for that later, just keeping myself open and something will appear when the time is right. xx
